Motorola's New Flagship :
Motorola announced the sucessor to the very popular and ageing Moto X. And no its not going to be called the Moto X+1, they decide to go whith a more simple equation and call it the Moto X (2014) or Moto X 2nd Gen.
This time around Motorola decide to go with a differt approch and pack the device with the latest hardware unlike the O.G Moto X which had below par specs.
The new Moto X comes with a 5.2 inch full HD AMOLED display which looks really beautiful comparing it to an IPS display. The device is powered by a Qualcom Snapdragon 801 chipset which is clocked at 2.5GHZ and 2GB of RAM. They added the adreno 330 which give the device good graphic capabilities.
The device sports a 13mp primary camera with somethig Motorola are calling a ring flash. And the secondary camera is a 2mp shooter.
Comming to the hardware not much has changed in the design exceot the fact that it has a larger form factor. The famous Moto Dimple has gotten bigger it now looks like a button but unfortunately its not. Comming to the front of the device it looks like there are dual front facing speakers but don't be fooled the top one is the ear piece and the botton one is the speaker grill. Also what they have added are four IR blasters at each conner of the device for gesture control these sensors may not be visible to the humman eye but they are there.
In the software department not much has changed its comes with android 4.4.4 KitKat which will be later upgradeble to android L. Motorla's most popular features like Active Display and Touchless control have undergone rebranding and are now know as Moto Display and Moto Voice respectively.
If you are looking to upgrade to the new Moto X, I say go for it becuse this device is arguably the best phone of 2014 and it has a really good price point. You can get the device fully customized and unlocked for just under $500 from Moto Maker where as all other flagship's are over $700 (Except the Flagship Killer )
